Jewellery Photo Editing Increases Online Sell of Jewellery Products

There is a huge sell of jewellery online. E-commerce websites are full of jewellery products.  We are becoming more and more inclined to online shopping because of the ease and benefits we get when we go for online shopping. Yes, there are flip sides like we cannot touch the product and cannot have a bare eye view until we get the delivery. Here comes the importance of image editing service for jewellery products before we showcase it to the web stores.

Customers Touches the Attractive Products

While browsing through the products, a customer lands on a product to view the price and other information. Mainly because of the picture of the product catches her/his attention, first. Then the customer views and examines the product with the details a prospective customer perceives from the photos the web portal provides.

A Customer Buys When Convinced

The more clear, bright and detail the picture the more confident a customer can be. If the buyer can be made confident, it increases the chance that the customer will order for the product.

Customers Neglects The Product Which The Seller Neglects

On the other hand, we just skim through the product which fails to attract our attention because of the dull and dim images. Even if the product is of good quality for its price, it fails to catch our interest mainly because of the poor image quality.

Photo Editing Is Especially Important for E-commerce Websites

For jewellery products, it is particularly very important that the image can convey its details to the buyers. If an image of the jewellery can talk to the customer proudly about its quality, the sell of that jewellery should increase dramatically compared to the jewellery with gloomy pictures.

How Can We Improve The jewellery Image Quality?

So, how can we improve the quality of the images of jewellery products? The answer is simple, by editing the images. What kind of editing a jewellery image mainly requires to be appropriate to be displayed on web stores?

1.  Background Removal / Replacement

Background removal or replacement is the most common editing a jewellery image requires. It is the first thing needs to be done before other enhancement works can be done. Clipping path and multi clipping path is necessary to replace the background. Generally, jewellery images stands out when placed on a white background.

2.  Shadow Creating

Sometimes adding a shadow makes the image look more realistic. Also, it makes the image aesthetically better. Various types of shadow effect can be created – natural shadow, reflection (shadow), Photoshop built in drop shadow etc.

3.  Distracting props

Very often jewellery photos are taken on a necklace mannequin or similar props. These props are distracting. Also, these hides the backside of the necklace or parts of other jewelries. If we knock out the mannequin and join the back part with the necklace, the necklace will get its full shape.  It will get more focused.

4.  Color Correction

We can show the different colors of metals and stones of the jewellery applying the color correction techniques to the image. If we have a photograph of one color available of a jewellery we can clone the photo with different colors applied to the different part of the jewellery. This is a very useful and cost effective way of displaying multiple colors of a product available. There is no need to shoot the different colored product in the same angle, settings, and environment.

5.  Exposure Correction

A photograph can be taken in an inappropriate light condition or because of the shutter speed and aperture, or other setting combinations the picture can be underexposed or overexposed. This can be corrected with some photography post production work.

6.  Adjusting Levels

Very often we have to adjust the level settings in post-production Photoshop work. We got to make the shadowy areas bright and brighter area appropriately dim to make the image of the jewellery perfect. It will make the image free of lighting and photography flaws, and make the jewellery look more natural and realistic.

7.  Lightness Adjustment

Red and yellow colors are not important for the steel jewellery. If we lighten these colors the metals will look a bit bright and realistic. Blue color is more important for the steels to look better.

“All that glitters is not gold”, but all the images that shines attracts the buyer. If you have bright, brilliant and properly edited images on your website. It will also impact on the quality of the site. Your eye-catching website will stand out of the crowd. So, the website will be able to attract more traffic. Sell will naturally be increased if there is more visitors to the web store. An attractive image can convert a visitor of your web store to a buyer. If we pay proper attention to the images we display to the customer and make those gorgeous, it will increase the sell. It is always better to spend very little money for image enhancement to sell thousands of units rather than having those unsold.
